At a very young age, owning a salon became Katie’s dream.
At age 11, she began working every summer alongside her aunt, Pam Vert, a now retired stylist of over 40 years. Unwrapping curlers, answering phones, & giving the occasional shampoo where all part of the job. Through middle & high school, she continued to work with her aunt over the summers & could feel the true potential of what her future held.
Three months after her high school graduation she began studies at Paul Mitchell The School-Costa Mesa. The experience was incredible. Katie has been trained by some of the most famous hair stylists in the industry. At Paul Mitchell The School, they not only train each student to be highly accurate in all aspects of this job, they train how to give exceptional guest services. Customer service is the most important part of this job-next to achieving great hair.
If you have sat in Katie’s chair you know that feeling she gives you when you leave. She hopes you hold on to that feeling through the days or weeks between appointments. She will give you the confidence not only in your hair, but your heart as well.
